Top Secret; w-inds. (Journey has been on repeat the whole day…month almost.)
YES. Finally, I have a day off to relax and to nothing! I slept at…er, 4:30? And woke up at 7:30. Thank you to my Sandy Hook field trip tomorrow. I had a whole list in my mind of what to bring, but I forgot it all. Hope kuya brings his volleyball. Though we’re going to be at the beach, I guess it’ll still be sorta cold. Anyway; I’m just so freaking happy that the initial “OH MY GOD HOMEWORK IS PILING UP I’M DROWNING” stage of this week is over. And so, here’s that thing that I’ve been waiting to get out since Tuesday night. And Emma~ The whole opera part is for you because you wanted to read about it. (:
(Do I even remember Tuesday?) I hate Tuesday’s schedule. Mmm, it’s really bad. English, Japanese, and History all in the morning! I only mind History, but whatever. Day progressed with me getting worked up about homework and stuff. Really, the only thing I was looking forward to was the trip later in the day. Yeah, that was the day that the teachers decided to dump a lot of assignments on us. I got into the habit of doing work during my frees. Hey, at least it stops me from buying lunch and doing work instead. Though, lately, I’ve been feeling it with a lot of headaches and really painful stomach cramps. Even after I eat. That’s not especially enjoyable. Ah, I/A. I really love watching La Boheme! We lagged behind Tuesday, but the drama of it really sucks you in. I love how it goes that Rodolfo and Mimi are together and Marcello and Muretta (are those their names?) are fighting and it keeps going back and forth. And back and forth. Still okay with algebra, thank god. Science was full of trying desperately to finish questions and lagging behind, still. At the end of the day, I said bye to everyone else and I went with Liz, after much running and spazzing in the hallways. We skipped up and down the same hallway a few times. All I needed to do was just put on a sweater, my heels, and put my hair up. I really don’t bother with makeup. Also mastered the art of squeezing a big wallet, cell phone, lip gloss, and 80 GB iPod into a small Aldo bag. Told you I could do it, Kuya. So we were walking around for a good long while, just waiting until 3:50. There’s a picture of me playing piano, it’s pretty cool. Finally left, and it was SWELTERINGLY HOT outside. 75 degrees, omg, what?! And most of the 50 people are wearing black and/or white. Wah. Get in the bus, and it’s just freaking, unbelievably beautiful outside. It took a good hour or so to get there, not a while. The Lincoln tunnel was near to us, and Riana and I kept taking pictures and more pictures. The lighting in the bus was amazing. Before we got into the tunnel, we were passing by this brown bus. “SATISFECTELLENT,” hell yes. We were laughing for a good 5 minutes about that. Went to eat dinner at Ollie’s Noodle Shop first. The people eating in there in the pick-up area were just looking at us like we were crazy, or just tourists. Well obviously, we’re taking pictures like crazy and we’re all dressed up fancy. There was a huge terracotta solider standing over the entrance to the dining room. Ameruoso, we thought of you. HA. We get in, and Kuya, Riana, Nick, Samir, Andrew, Nikki (sophomore), Sarah, Lisa (both juniors) and I are all sitting at one table. It really took us such a long time to figure out what to order, and we were sitting close to the teachers’ table. At one point, Mr. Killian comes over and goes, “So I guess the only thing you’re ordering tonight is tea?” I got “Hong Kong-style” shumai and sesame chicken. They got our orders to us so quickly! That shumai was amazing, so yummy! And of course, it was all family-sized portions, so we were all sharing with each other. I think I stole from everyone’s plate at least one. “Garbage disposals.” (: After just laughing, drinking sugared-up tea, and filling ourselves up with food for a good hour, we were all just bloated. “Yeah, I can’t eat anymore!” “Then why are you still putting food into your mouth?!” I was so full, ugh. Water made it better, but the wonton soup I stole was good. Lisa’s “A-Little-Bit-of-Everything” soup was interesting. It tasted like vinegar. Really is a “little bit of everything.” After walking around (to go to the bathroom) and criticizing the guys for loitering around the bathrooms, we got out. Funny, it was about 6:30-ish, and the sun was so bright. We took so many pictures out there. Finally tried, but didn’t accomplish Nick’s “Look up at the sky and get everyone else in NY to look with you” stint. Oh well, the picture we have is funny. Only Steven could have taken it. HA, TALL PERSON. We walked down to Lincoln Center, and it’s this total dejavu; because I was there last year to see David Blaine. Y’know, that guy in the bubble who tried to break the world record of being underwater holding his breath the longest. So yeah, a good 4 blocks to get there. I could barely hear Mr. Killian over everyone talking and stuff. Oh, Jean; don’t wave at random newspaper stand guys. He waved back and said, “HI BABY.” OH LORD WTF, EW. Took a little tour of the place outside, walked around until about 7. Got in, and ohhh, it’s so pretty inside! I would have liked to go into the Met, but those tickets are so expensive. The building looks really nice from the outside, though. We got “second ring” seats. Literally, second balcony. I swear that line for the bathroom was appalling. It feels so nice walking in heels around a place like that. Got settled in our seats. We spent a good 10 minutes looking at the Playbill and laughing at the actors. How ironic is it that it’s set in Japan, but only two of the opera singers are Asian; Korean to be exact. Ah, the woman who played Suzuki was amazing. The set was so beautiful! I took a picture of it before the lady handing out the Playbills caught us. Oh well. Before it started, it was those sliding screen doors, except spanning the whole stage. So nice. They lit up the back when it was starting. First it was the Japanese flag, then it all changed colors to the sun, and then a clear blue sky; so pretty. The set was really plain, but amazing. Simply open space, and then stairs that went up, had a landing sort of thing, and went down to the back. They really made it look like a house. First act was okay, I was totally caught in it for the first 30 minutes, and then it dragged. I started laughing when her uncle came out and the whole background turned black, with the red circle in the middle. I shared my glasses with Kuya for a while because he forgot his. He couldn’t read the subtitles. Yes, subtitles; the play was in Italian. Oh, mixed cultures. Anyway, they just introduced the characters and stuff during the first act. Madama Butterfly’s family was conspiring that she was leaving the Japanese culture for a white man. And it was wrong that he didn’t love her, he just claimed to. Bastard. During intermission after the first, I didn’t want to get up, I was really lazy. Riana realized why she was called “Madama Butterfly,” too. Yeah, Pinkerton called her that, but her name was “Cio-cio-san (Okay, Cho-cho, damnit. Japanese spelling looks nicer. ) Which means butterfly. Our whole row went, “OHHHHHH. NO WONDER.” How come I didn’t notice that, LOLL. Second act was amazing, but not as much as the third. During the second, Pinkerton had left her for three years, and she believed that he was going to come back. Suzuki didn’t though. And she had a son, too! Ugh, that kid was so adorably cute. They finally realized that he was coming back after the Consul came and read her a letter from him. They started decorating the house with flower petals, and the little boy was frolicking around in them. SO CUTE OMG. They pulled out this huge blanket/sheet thing and spread it on the stage, and it carried so many petals. Then it rained them from upstage. So beautiful, the pink falling against the background of deep, but still light blue. It was funny though; Jean, Nick, and I started laughing because a whole clump of them just fell on the stage. You could hear them drop. Oh, and then there were screen doors on the “landing” of the stairs, and near the end, they closed the ones in the front. It showed how they waited the whole night for him to come, and then at one point, she opened the doors on the landing, and the circle (that was originally the red circle in the Japanese flag) was the moon against the dark blue sky. AH GOD SO BEAUTIFUL. I wanted to take a picture of so many of the scenes. And that Korean guy, the Japanese “lord” guy, AHA, 10 minute scene, but so amusing. During the intermission of the second, Riana and I went to go to the bathroom and take a walk. Those souvenirs were pretty; I wanted to get a poster. But of course, it being the opera, everything is expensive. A bottle of 20 oz. Aquafina water was 3 dollars. It’s 50 cents during any lunch period at my school; 1.50 from the machines. Chocolate was 4.00. I’m happy I restrained from buying, and instead settled on walking around the first and second ring floors. Third act was amazing, it went by pretty fast for me. I had already ruined it at the beginning, though; I read the whole synopsis in the Playbill. Good job, Trisha. So he comes to see her even though people are warning against it. I feel bad for Suzuki, they had to make her go through so much stress, asking her to tell Butterfly for Pinkerton. Die, Garo, die. Eventually, Butterfly finds out that he’s here, but there’s a lady outside waiting. That would be Kate Pinkerton, his AMERICAN WIFE. Yet again, that bastard. Kind of sad that Butterfly considered herself an American citizen as well. They jut came to take her son and leave. So she’s devastated. There was one point in the opera where she says to her son that she’s going to kill herself so that he wouldn’t be sad to leave her. And then she blindfolds him and gets the dagger ready. How do you kill yourself in front of your own son? I loved the end; she replaced the American flag he was waving around with the Japanese flag. Pinkerton runs, opens the sliding doors, and there’s this suspenseful pause while she’s standing. Once he opened the doors, she just drew the blade across her neck and she died. Her son just stood up, took off the blindfold and stared at Pinkerton. Like an accusatory thing: “You killed my mother.” Mind you, he was three. So yeah, curtain dropped, bows were taken. Suzuki got the most applause, HOW IS THAT LOLL. When we got outside, it was kind of cold. On the bus ride home, Riana, Kuya, and I were bouncing off the walls. Kuya crashed though, halfway through the 30-45 minute ride. “YUM YUM BANGKOK.” We got to the school, and Killian was messing around with the PA with a creepy voice, LOLL. Mind you, it was around 11 PM, and there were a good 30 kids at their lockers going, WTF?! XD;; I fell dead asleep on the ride home. I tried doing homework in the morning, but I crashed at 2 AM.
Wednesday, finally! I’ve been typing this on Word for almost an hour and a half. I started at 9 and it’s 10:22. GUH. I was reallyyy cranky on the bus, I just flailed over the opera and fell asleep. Rob and I were in the Media Center for first period free, trying to do our Antigone essays. We ended up just chatting on Gmailchat. Why is that so much fun?! Those smileys are dead amazing, though. Algebra, English. That newspaper thing in English is going okay, I guess. Ah, Jessa called me over to her computer in Micro. She was going, “Hey, what’s that name of that guy you like? Ryohei?” On seventeen.com, there’s a 20 year old guy named Ryohei in one of the article/special things. I was laughing so hard. In gym, we were playing tennis outside because of the weather. I was listening to my iPod the whole time while playing, and I was doing fine until I kind 0f fenced the same tennis ball twice. Then I died. Luckily, my group for chorus went home early and we didn’t have to practice! This is amazing, I like chorus this way. I tried to do homework while at home, but as usual, I procrastinated. It took me a good 3 hours to go Global, and 3-4 to do the essay. I blame gmailchat and my laziness. Slept at 2, I think.This morning, I CRASHED ON THE BUS. I fell dead asleep. All I remember after playing with Rob’s “gangster build-a-bear,” was waking up and thinking that I had just fallen asleep 3 minutes ago, at least. Anna told me that everyone had died on the bus ride, so I don’t know. I like the morning thing of David walking over and going , “CHEESECAKE. EGGROLL. CHEESEBURGER.” And we attack ily. ILYY, ILUU, 4SRSLY. Science; Witham told us everything we needed for tomorrow. I think I’m going to enjoy tomorrow. Especially if it’s with my class, and my class only. The chaperone from the other class dropped out on them, but we’re going for sure. I’d love it if it was just our class, that’s it. 12 people, we’re fine. “A Winter Beach.” I hope we get some time to play around. There’s going to be a rest stop, that makes me just laugh. A 1 and ½ hour bus ride. Ahh, high tech. The algebra test was easy~ I messed up on some of the system of linear inequalities, but I got a hold on those word problems. YES. I’m going to re-check it Monday. English; we finally have a hold on the newspaper as well. It looks really cool, and we’re working out the kinks for the outline. I hope it’s not too short and it turns out okay. Czander finally figured out that I don’t have a 22-year-old Japanese boy for a boyfriend. Though, it was kind of funny when he started talking to me about him a few weeks ago. “Hey, who’s that?” “My boyfriend’s best friend.” “REALLY?” “Yeah.” “Is he famous?” “Yeah, he’s in a group.” “…..AWESOME.” I was having fun. It’s like, “Hey, how’s your boyfriend?” “Good, they’re doing a live today.” I’M SO WEIRD XD We were talking about it during Lunch; I remember when I told Jean that in the beginning of the year. She and Rob told me that they went CRAZY trying to figure out who he was. So they googled Ryohei. OH GOD HA. I’m not an evil fangirl. =___=; You guys, how many times do I have to say “DON’T LISTEN TO ME!” La Boheme today, again. Their relationship fluctuate like crazy! The drama is amazing, and I got sucked into it, I almost started crying. And I saw the pretty Asian boy that Sarah was talking about. fadghalshkg; he’s PREETTTTY. He was walking out of Shep’s room. Guhhh. I liked Public Speaking today. Rob did his presentation for the whole period, and we all went crazy with the Polaroid camera. I want those pictures, but they’re going to stay in Ms. Richard’s room until senior year. Sorry I ruined it, Rob! But today, there was a side of our class reflected in those pictures. We were smiling and laughing together for once. Fawzy, Chris, and Malcolm are in most of the pictures. Yeah, Chris, you’re the total Asian in our picture. I totally thought of Michishirube, and the wall full of Polaroids when I saw it. I want the picture I took on Kuya’s camera phone. That class, so relaxing. Japanese was…er, interesting. I can’t read my katakana. I was going, “Jya….jya…jyazu! OHH. ジャズのCDをききます。(JYAZU NO CD WO KIKIMASU.) ” Haha. I’m kind of sad that I’m not doing the poem for Japanese, I had already memorized half of it. So what if I’m doing the Japan Bowl next year jdhfjhkfa; Sensei’s wondering why our class died for the most part. She slaps her desk with a stack of worksheets, going, “WAKE UPPP. GET SERIOUS.” I told her that the whole class wasn’t going to be here for the whole day tomorrow, and she smiled her head off. She likes to get rid of us. I’m thinking of staying after on Tuesdays to sorta get ahead, or just take the translation class next year. And to top off the day, I had the most memorable Global class of the year so far. I answered questions correctly and actually went up to write something. Dang, I never do that. This is one of the days when I actually like History class. Ameruoso kept cracking on a few people. We were all conspiring over Muslim divorce, marriage, and crime and punishment laws. Chris died laughing while we were talking about divorce. “I mean, come on really, why would you divorce someone three times?!” And Steven just kept dying whenever he mentioned torture. GOD LOLLL. That was fun. I have the habit of sitting on my bag in the bus now, and leaving the window wide open. Yesterday, we were talking to Vanessa and Malcolm, who are in two separate buses next to ours. Haha, it’s so cool, we were all yelling out windows. “Hey, look, it’s all white people on the Hoboken side, and Asian on the Jersey City bus!” “You sure, because I’m really pale.” …yeah, ahaha. Rob said that he missed Kuya on the bus today. I know you need your boy love. XD *bad friend LOLLL* It's like earlier when Witham went, "OH YEAH. This is for the girls, I don't think the boys would care~ There's a military school for boys near Sandy Hook. X3" LOLLL. I turned around and went to Kuya and Rob, " HEY, DON'T CHEAT ON EACH OTHER XD" I'm kidding, of course. I went home and slept instead of doing my Japanese worksheets and the newspaper outline. Noooo. D: My dad as a new Dell laptop. Okay, wtf, why do you buy a new laptop when we don’t need one, and you never get me anything. And bestie, ):
Okay, this is a really long blog. wtf, I just spent two hours typing it out. Oh well, I got everything out of my head, and I have new memories for tomorrow. Speaking of that, I need to get some pictures up on this thing. Hm, what do I bring tomorrow? Thing is, now I’m content with no work to flail over until next week. I meant to do my poster today, but oh well. G’night, I’m going on the internet and watching THANKS. It's funny, I'm still missing the pictures XD

That is honestly the longest blog post I've ever read. I'm not sure if I ever wrote one that long though... maybe almost hahaha. Well thanks for writing out the whole opera for me!
4:30-7:30 sleeping is not good! No wonder you forgot what you needed to bring with you. Glad that your homework pile is gone now. That's always good to hear haha.
I would have loved to have a REAL Japanese class haha. Thank god I quit History though @_@;;
